The EU-funded Point-of-Need-Diagnostics (PoN-DX) project is aiming to develop a quick-test supporting personalised treatment selection. This will be enabled by the integration of a technology able to detect patient-specific mutations into a microfluidic test card. The test is meant to accelerate diagnoses and reduce hospital admissions by helping medical professionals to prescribe accurate treatment regimes.
